Our Story

 

Who we are…

​

We are the maidservants of Christ, an inspiring organization dedicated to empowering women of faith in a profound and meaningful way. Our mission centers on uplifting Iu-Mien women and other minority groups, recognizing the unique challenges they face and the strength they possess.

 

We believe that providing a rich tapestry of Biblical teaching and hands-on training designed to nurture both spiritual growth and practical life skills is the foundation of our faith. Our workshops and seminars cover a wide range of topics, from personal development and leadership to the interpretation of Scripture, all aimed at fostering confidence and capability among women.

 

In addition to our work in the United States, we extend our reach to marginalized communities abroad, sharing resources and support that are culturally relevant and impactful. We believe in the power of faith to bring about transformation, and our programs are designed to instill hope, create connections, and build a supportive network of women who inspire one another.

Statement of Faith

​

Section 1: Man

We believe that man (Adam) was created perfect in the image of God, but through sin, he fell, resulting in both physical and spiritual death.  For we are all descendants of Adam and for this, all have sinned through Adam.  Genesis 1:26, 2:17, Romans 3:12, 5:2

Section 2: Sin

We believe that all mankind is subject to the original sin (sin through Adam) and personal sin (committed at his own will).  Therefore we believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  Romans 3:23; 5:12

 

Section 3: Salvation

The wages of sin is death.  For it was not our choice to have fallen with the first Adam, we now have the choice to be represented by Jesus, the second Adam, perfect in nature.  It is by grace that we have been saved, through faith and this is not from ourselves, or our good work, but it is the gift of God.  All of our good works alone are like filthy rags in the sight of our Lord.    Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8, Isaiah 64:6

Section 4: A Triune God

We believe there is one God, manifested in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17, Psalms 139:1-4, Colossians 1:15-18

 

Section 5: Angels, and the Fallen Angel

We believe that God created great companies of angels.  One was named, Lucifer, called ‘son of the morning’- the highest rank given among angels. He sinned against God through pride, he wanted to be like God.  As a result, he was cast out of Heaven taking numerous angels with him.  Isaiah 14:12, Ezekiel 28:15-17, Revelations 12:7-9.

Section 6: Holy Bible

We believe the Holy Bible, both the Old Testament and New Testament are written by men, but is fully inspired by God and is inerrant. 2Timothy 3:16.

Section 7: Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ was fully man and fully God, conceived by the Holy Spirit through the Virgin Mary. We believe in his sinless life, the authenticity of his miracles, his atoning death, and His bodily resurrection.  He has ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, but will return in the second coming to judge the living and the dead.  2Timothy 4:1, Acts 10:42

Section 8: Marriage

Marriage must be between a man and a woman as originally designed by God in the beginning of the creation. Genesis 3:20; 4:1-3
